Auditions for Civic Theatre 2021 - 2022 Season
Auditions for Civic Theatre of Allentown’s upcoming season are open to all. Actors and volunteers are encouraged to be vaccinated.
We warmly invite performers of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, gender presentations, and types of bodies to audition.

Audition & Callback Information
AUDITION Information & Materials:
Auditions will be held by appointment on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, July 6th and 7th. All actors interested in auditioning must sign up for an audition time slot on Sign Up Genius, even if you have previously submitted a video audition. Initial auditions will not include reading from the script, so be sure to use your acting skills when performing your audition song!
All actors should be prepared to sing with accompaniment and/or a cappella. Actors may also be asked to hold their melody while the music director provides harmony.
Youth actors auditioning for the role(s) of Annie, orphans, or youth ensemble should prepare one of the following three songs from the production:
Adult actors should prepare 16-32 bars (no more than one-minute) of a musical theatre song from or in the style of the show. While you can provide an instrumental or karaoke track, please also bring marked sheet music in the correct key.
CALLBACK Information & Materials:
Callbacks will be held by appointment on Thursday evening, July 8th. Additional callbacks will be held on Friday, July 9th, if necessary. Not all auditioners will be called back. Those who are called back will be contacted and should be prepared to sing selections from the show appropriate for the character(s) they are called back for (please reference the list below). Actors may also be asked to read additional provided material from the script.
