Nineteenth Street Theatre

is going digital!

Thank you for your generous response to The Digital Cinema Challenge.  The outpouring of 550 donations in support of the Challenge means that the historic Nineteenth Street Theatre will go digital!

Civic plans to order a digital projector this month and install no later than April. After installation, everyone who has contributed to the Challenge will be invited to help celebrate the premiere of digital movies with a movie screening and champagne reception.

Meanwhile, Civic is pursuing additional funding to complete conversion of Theatre 514 to the industry-standard, DLP Digital Cinema.  With industry-compliant projectors at both theatres, Civic will be able to compete for the very best and latest releases of art house films for your enjoyment.
