ABOUT CIVIC THEATRE SCHOOL For over fifty years, Civic Theatre School (CTS) has been instilling the values of confidence, discipline and tradition in Lehigh Valley children. CTS was founded on the principle of “giving each child the assurance of what he is capable of doing himself” which continues to this day. ![]() We offer classes for children starting at the age of 4 up to students in Grade 12. Our classes focus on the process of developing actors and include dance, speech and drama lessons. One of the biggest benefits to Civic Theatre School is the opportunity to perform on Civic’s storied stage, which we guarantee to all those who audition for the yearly CTS production. The opportunity to act in the CTS production is a privilege only offered to current CTS students. Civic Theatre School alumni build on the self-assurance they learn here and become successful in numerous walks of life. Civic Theatre School alumni include Hollywood actors, like Amanda Seyfried (Big Love, Mamma Mia!), Michaela Conlin (Bones) and Christine Taylor (Zoolander, The Brady Bunch Movie) and state officials like Pennsylvania State Senator Pat Browne.
