Civic Theatre of Allentown has long been a financially stable organization supported by the generosity of donors, sponsors, government agencies and other businesses. But now Civic, like many other community arts organizations across the country, faces a global financial crisis in which careful management, hard work and fiscal responsibility are no longer enough.

So Civic turns to you by enacting the 'True Friends of Civic' project, designed to allow you, our dedicated patrons and supporters, to help Civic by designing a fundraiser of your choice. We will be posting these projects on this site in the coming weeks, along with further suggestions.

We thank you in advance for showing your passion for Civic and the arts, as we believe that by pulling together - between our staff, board and supporters - we can overcome the challenges of the current recession and keep Civic where she has been for over 80 years, finanically sound and standing proudly in her place as the foundation of Allentown's West End Theatre District.
