No. Many Students attend one of the two sessions. Both sessions have different focuses for the students.
Do students have to bring in anything specific?
These classes are active! Have students dress in comfortable clothing with either sneakers or dance shoes (think along the lines of a Gym Class outfit!) and bring a water bottle
Do the students get to perform?
On the last day of each summer session, students perform a showcase in the main theatre. This performance is open to all friends and family and is free of charge.
What’s the difference between half day and full day?
Half Day (M-F 9am-12pm)
Full Day (M-F 9am-3pm)
In addition to our engaging Drama and Movement program, students in grades 3-8 will have the option to participate in an additional specialty package of classes. If this package is purchased (full day option), students will bring a lunch each day and have a supervised lunch break from 12-12:30 p.m. Students will enjoy and experience a variety of exciting topics taught by talented and qualified instructors. Past specialty classes have included Puppetry, Improv, and Script Writing.
Are voice lessons available?
During the summer session, Voice lessons are available to students entering grades 9-12 in the Fall of 2019.
Does Civic only offer summer classes?
There are two school year sessions available on Saturday mornings. The Fall Session runs September-November with an end-of-session showcase. The Winter Session runs January-March and ends with a Spring musical. Those registrations will open in August 2019.
