Civic Theatre School
For over fifty years, Civic Theatre School (CTS) has been helping children in the Lehigh Valley develop confidence and discipline. CTS was founded on the principle of “giving each child the assurance of what they are capable of doing themselves,” and the School carries that same mission to this day.
We offer classes for children starting as young as age 4 through students in 12th grade; we believe it’s never too early (or too late!) for children to learn the dramatic arts. Our classes focus on developing actors, and they include hands on lessons in dance, speech, and drama. In addition to receiving outstanding theatrical instruction, students who enroll in Civic Theatre School get the opportunity to perform on Civic’s storied stage – the same stage that many distinguished former Civic Theatre school students performed on, such as Pennsylvania Senator Pat Browne, and Hollywood actors Amanda Seyfried (Big Love, Mamma Mia!, the forthcoming Les Misérables), Michaela Conlin (Bones), and Christine Taylor (Zoolander, Dodgeball, The Brady Bunch Movie).
Civic Theatre School is proud to have helped our alumni prosper with assistance of the self-worth that they developed on our stage, and CTS looks forward to doing the same for our future students.
